A Chilly October morning…

I’ve heard folks ask… who actually wears homemade socks anyways… and every time I hear it I shake my head a little…

I work in a building that was not designed to be a cubicle workspace.  It is often really cold here, and I freeze my butt off many days (and it isn’t even really winter yet)  My workspace has been nicknamed “the cube-sickle” because of it's temperature-challenged ways... it is conveniently located in prime territory directly between the photocopy machine, and the air circulation vent in the ceiling.  I actually keep a little space heater under my desk to avoid nose-icicles and frozen fingers.  But I don’t need to worry about my feet… the wool socks are pretty efficient insulators, and cute to boot!  (get it… to “boot”?  bad footwear jokes… sigh)

So Who wears homemade socks?  ME.

I think I may be the kind of person who wears fingerless mitts indoors too.  Ask me again in January when it’s cold everywhere ;)

?the cube-sickle? hehe You know I was always a light sock person and then I bought some construction worker style socks that are double thick and they are awesome, so now I see those socks you make and wonder if they would be just as great, or if it would be a different feel.

Wool socks are really light, very warm, and the wool absorbs moisture and they stay warm even if they get damp or wet.  You have to try em to understand Smile
